So, I Bought Into A 2014 Bowman Chrome Case Break

I jumped in on a jumbo case break for the Rangers team slot. I've never had any kind of luck with breaks before. I always seem to get skunked.

This break didn't seem to be any different. Through three of the eight boxes, I hadn't even hit a refractor. In the fourth box, however, I got something:

Nothing too fancy, but something nonetheless. An Isiah Kiner-Falefa base auto. If nothing else, it helps me on my Rangers Bowman Auto project.

Interesting side not: I asked (via the chat function) the other break participants if any of them had seen or knew where to find a 2014 Bowman Purple Ice parallel for my Luke Jackson quest. One of the other participants shot me the link to my Jackson Rainbow Visualization page. I thought it was kind of neat that people are starting to reference my page! hahahahaha

Back to the main story. Boxes five, six and seven came and went, again with nothing to show for it. Then, in the final box, I got this guy, by far the lowest numbered auto of the break:

An Akeem Bostick purple bubbles refractor auto numbered 4 of freaking 10!!!! I never get this lucky!!! (PS - My scanner cut off part of the top of the card - it isn't that badly centered.)

Now, i know this makes me kind of a piece of crap, but I listed the card on eBay already. It isn't that I don't love the card or that I don't want it. However, I don't plan on putting together Bostick's rainbow like I am doing with Luke Jackson. Therefore, my logic says that I could sell this auto, use the money I get to get a different Bostichk auto AND some other cards. So...yeah. Call me a POS if you want, I'm sure it won't be the last time I hear it.

Anyway, I just wanted to share with y'all the one time I actually got lucky. With a case break, you pervs. Get your minds out of the gutter.

  1. That's what I would have done with a similar pull. You can get a cheaper Bostick and put the rest of the money toward a Purple Ice Luke Jackson (if you can find one).

  2. I think putting it on eBay is a great idea! You gotta do what's best for you!
