- This is my first "offseason" in collecting, so to speak. With no new (affordable) products coming out, I feel like I'm just sitting around twiddling my thumbs. Fortunately, my mom decided she wanted to do the gift-giving thing for Christmas this year (we haven't exchanged gifts since I was in high school, so I told her I just wanted some baseball cards. I will have some boxes to break next week!
- Seriously, if you haven't got in touch with Alex over at Chavez Ravining for a trade, you are doing yourself a serious disservice. We ironed out a trade last night in less than 30 minutes. The guy is crazy easy to work with, and he gives out points for various things that go toward prizes. Why aren't you in on this yet?
- Speaking of Chavez Ravining, he's woking on an ambitious project - to put together the 2013 Topps Chrome rainbow for all Dodger players featured in the set. If you have any, help him out.
- Speaking of Rainbows, you may have noticed I created a post for my 2013 Topps Chrome AJP Rainbow. I've decided that since he's a one-year wonder in Texas, this would be the extent of my PC for him. I have the atomic, red, gold, sepia and XFractor refractors. I have the black, blue, purple and base refractors on the way. That means I just need the superfractor (yeah, right), the pink, camo and orange refractors to complete the rainbow out. I doubt anyone has the super, pink or camo, but maybe you have the orange. If so, let me know. I'd love to take it off your hands.
- By the time I finished typing that paragraph, I won a camo refractor for my rainbow. Nice!
- Georgia isn't on my mind, but I want to share the song with y'all anyway. My weekend was very slow and full of great music, including listening to some Ray Charles. It's good for the soul.

The Daily List - December 4, 2013
- I've mentioned him once, but I want to mention him again - if you haven't given Alex over at Chavez Ravining a read, you should do it. The guy has some great info and is an amazing trade partner. He has single-handedly crushed my 2013 Topps Flagship needs (minus one card). So go give him a read and a follow, then work out a deal with him. You will be much better off for doing it.
- As my time back in the hobby passes, I find my tastes changing. While I once wanted every Ranger card I could get my hands on, now I see that my tastes have narrowed greatly. For instance, with the inevitability of Nelson Cruz moving to another team drawing closer, I realize that I'm only interested in cards in which he is wearing a Rangers uniform. Furthermore, for some of my lesser interest, i.e. Ian Kinsler, my interest in their cards dissipates altogether. Therefore, I'm left with cards like this one that I feel compelled to move. Although I do really like this one.
- I noticed last night that my Rendon collection is growing steadily, especially in the autograph department.
- A couple weeks ago, Brad over at Brad's Blog sent me a ridiculous package that far exceeded what I sent him. Like Alex, Brad is a damn good trade partner, so if you aren't already following his blog, go do it now. And Brad, I finally have a nice little surprise for you! Be expecting it soon...

The Daily List - November 26, 2013
So, I'm trying to think of new features for the blog. A lot of people do a random card of the day, random set, etc. etc., so I thought I would join in on the fun. I am going to attempt to have a daily list. This list can be about anything related to baseball, baseball cards or blogging so get ready.
So, without further ado, here is my first Daily List.
So, without further ado, here is my first Daily List.
- We've all heard about the old man that has a crazy card or memorbilia collection, but what about a relatively young older woman with a museum-worthy collection? Check out this story about Susan Plymel and her insane collection that once included a verified Babe Ruth autographed ball (it was stolen from her!)
- Don't think there are enough blogs about the Dodgers? Here's one you need to check out - Chavez Ravining. A great read about cards related to the Dodgers, a.k.a. the "West Coast Yankees." (Sorry Alex, I couldn't resist!) Give it a look and subscribe to his site!
- Speaking of blogs, mine has grown visually boring to me. Leave me a comment of what you would like to see changed, and design ideas you might have, or, if you are into graphic design, design my site for me!
- I still have a few things up for sale via eBay for my Wounded Warriors project fundraiser. Go check it out and buy somehting. Reader Defgav has helped out - now it's your turn!
- Lastly, on a related note, there are still plenty of teams available for my 2013 Bowman Draft Picks and Prospects two-box break to raise money for the WWP. Go here to sign up!
Well, there it is. Here's a thank you for reading through!
