To those of you who participated in my break, I say thank you again! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I'm sorting and preparing the cards for mail, but the team bags aren't large enough in some cases, so I am heading to the LCS tomorrow to grab something to mail them in. Everything should hit the post office Monday at the latest!
Speaking of the post office, I found some mail in my mailbox today. Not of the TTM variety - that has slowed, for whatever reason - but of the eBay variety.

2010 Topps Finest Certified Letter Patch Card RC - Ian Desmond #'d 6/25 |
This is a first for my collection - a letter patch card. I bought this a WHILE ago and just got it in the mail. I couldn't resist the allure of having a game-worn letter from a player on my second favorite team, especially for the price. Then I read the back when I got it today: "This patch has never been worn by a player in a game or event."
Bummer. Oh well, it's still pretty cool in my book.
The second card I received was this guy:

2013 Bowman Platinum Joey Gallo Blue Refractor - #'d 66/199 |
Again, I got this card for a steal and it fits nicely into my Gallo PC. Speaking of PCs...

2013 Bowman Top 100 Die Cut Insert - #'d 84/99 |
I also snagged this guy. The first die cut card in my collection. Maybe I'm biased, but I really think Gallo should be ranked higher than #80 in Bowman's prospect rankings.
Finally, I bought a Platinum blaster yesterday because I couldn't find any Allen & Ginter blasters. Luckily for me, my blaster had a gift waiting for me:

2013 Bowman Platinum Yu Darvish Blue Sapphire Parallel |
Oh so pretty. I didn't think I was going to build the Platinum sets...but I am. My needs list will be up later!
So, to recap: Break cards going out Monday, Ian Desmond non-game used patch disappointment, Gallo greatness and Darvish blue sapphire.
That die-cut is pretty slick, nice pickups!
